"We only had 6 days so they suggested starting from Manizales. We did the most intense part of the Bogotá–Medellín route. The team adapted to us completely — it was perfect."

Guided Tours
Two great routes through Colombia — each one adapts to the time you have. Tell us your days and fitness level: we design the experience from there.
The route every cyclist wants to do when they arrive in Colombia. Andean summits, colonial towns, the humid jungle of the Magdalena, and the Alto de Letras — the longest climb in the world. An epic that lasts as long as your trip.
| Time | Starting point | What you ride |
|---|---|---|
| ~10 days | Bogotá | Full route: Bogotá savanna → Magdalena river valley → Alto de Letras (3,780m — the summit of the cycling world) → Antioquian coffee farms → Medellín. The complete story. |
| ~5–7 days | Manizales | You drop straight into the heart of the route: Eje Cafetero → Alto de Letras → epic descent to Antioquia → Medellín. The most intense and most remembered part, concentrated. |
Barichara is Colombia's most beautiful village. Arriving by bike, on gravel roads that cross the Chicamocha Canyon, adds a layer of meaning no bus can give you. A route with soul — and also with options to fit your schedule.
| Time | Starting point | What you ride |
|---|---|---|
| ~7 days | Bogotá | Full route: Bogotá → Tunja → Villa de Leyva → Chicamocha Canyon → Barichara. The complete story across Boyacá and Santander. |
| ~5 days | Tunja | Skip to Tunja and ride straight into the most scenic stretch: Villa de Leyva, the Chicamocha Canyon descent, Barichara. Compact and intense. |
These are our two main routes — but not the only possibilities. If you have another route in mind through Colombia by MTB or Gravel, tell us. We've been riding this country for 8 years and know many more paths than fit on this page.
What riders say
"We only had 6 days so they suggested starting from Manizales. We did the most intense part of the Bogotá–Medellín route. The team adapted to us completely."
"The Bogotá–Barichara route through the Chicamocha Canyon is breathtaking. Starting from Villa de Leyva was the right call for our 5 days. We'll be back for the full route."
"El Alto de Letras es una experiencia que no se puede describir. La logística del equipo fue impecable — solo tuve que pedalear. Volveré con mi grupo el año que viene."
Our Story
From Ecoaventuras en Bici to Travel and Bike Colombia. The name changed; the soul didn't.
Who we are
"Everything started long before we had a name. It started with the certainty that Colombia — with its impossible mountains, sleepy towns, unmapped mule tracks — was too good to go untold."
We founded Ecoaventuras en Bici with one conviction: the best way to know this country is from a bike saddle, at a slow pace, without skipping anything. Years of routes, of mistakes, of learning which roads are worth it and which aren't, of meeting village mechanics, of finding the best caldo after a 1,500m climb.
Today we are Travel and Bike Colombia. Today we do two things well: we lend premium bikes to international cyclists who want to explore Colombia at their own pace — and we organize tours for those who prefer we handle everything, always adapted to each rider's time and fitness.
In 8 years we've accompanied cyclists from Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Argentina, Chile and a dozen more countries. Almost all of them left with something they didn't expect: all of Colombia.
First guided tours in the Bogotá savanna region. MTB and a deep love for Colombian roads.
Completing the Alto de Letras for the first time with international clients. A milestone that defined our direction.
We realized that many cyclists wanted to explore independently. Hotel delivery became our signature differentiator.
New name, same soul. Rental as main product, flexible tours as the natural complement.
Our values
The perfect bike at your hotel, no bureaucracy. That's the starting point — and it has to be seamless.
Not the other way around. Your time and fitness level dictate the itinerary. We design around your reality.
Dirt roads and family farms first. We choose accommodation one by one. We ride every route before offering it.
Maximum 10 cyclists per tour. You'll never be a number. Our guides know your name before the first pedal stroke.
